Often there will be a foreign toy that never sees these shores. Such is the case with this Doc Ock figure from Italy. The mechanical claws on the ends of his arms actually spin. Nice design.
It shoots web missiles, and is a cool Italian Spider-Man toy vehicle. It’s about as big as 4 Hotwheels put together, and comes in pieces that snap together. Definately stands out as being one of the best Spider-Man toy cars of 2010. Marvel at this!
I can’t understand a word they’re singing, but it’s funny nevertheless.
Coming soon from Hasbro! Although I am a bit perplexed by the dog “Miss Lyon” from the 80′s cartoon being with MJ, as the dog was associated with Firestar in the cartoon “Spider-man and His Amazing Friends”. Still cool though!
The artist Gil Kane who was already famous from his work at Marvel’s rival DC comics started doing the art to Spider-man during the early seventies. He was responsible for some of Spidey’s landmark issues such as when Spider-man’s girlfriend Gwen Stacy was killed by the Green Goblin. Gil had a style that was unmistakable, [...]
Spider-man, Iron Man, and the Transformers. Highly unusual to find a toy item that is based on 3 different movies. A nice set produced by Hasbro in 2009.
A year before Spider-man became animated for the very first time, the popular model makers Aurora immortalized him in plastic. Not only did they do our friendly neighborhood webslinger, they also included an unconscious Kraven the Hunter. Back in 1966 the model included a plastic plaque with Spidey’s name, a plastic gun, and can. However, [...]
Check out this old 1977 Hampshire advertisement for Spider-man and friends pool products. Vintage Marvel airheads, … for fun just add water. Is that a young Gilbert Gottfried? If so, wheres the AFLAC duck?
Recently in 2004, Marvel and Buena Vista (Disney) released a box DVD set of the old Spider-man cartoon series. All 52 episodes of Spider-Man’s original 1967 classic television series, were completely restored in full color from 1967-1970 all in one set. Now it’s being released overseas in 9 different DVDs with brand new package artwork. [...]
The 80s and glitter go together like bees and honey. Spider-man and things that “stick”…well,…thats a no brainer. Even Mephisto (pre-OMD), the Red Skull, Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Doctor Doom, and Loki make an appearance. Check out the sticky eye candy below!
This Italian “Spider-man and Friends” game looks a bit like the American “Hungry Hippos” game I have seen kids play. I find it odd that the treehouse, or clubhouse has english signs, and yet the game box is in Italian. Also the choice of Storm as the fourth character instead of a more popular one [...]
Here’s a great MMMS (Merry Marvel Marching Society) vending machine display from 1966 featuring a rubber charm version of Thor. With Spider-man prominently displayed on the card, and the toy only being 10 cents these probably went pretty quick. I know that I have only seen this, and one other example that survives today, so [...]
