The early 1970s, and blacklight posters go hand in hand. The Marvel Super-heroes poster you see below was used as a display to sell other Marvel Thirdeye posters. This poster was drawn by John Romita Sr. and features a ton of Marvel’s greatest, including Captain Marvel in his early green outfit. These are hard to find these days. If you get one, be sure to hook up a blacklight, kick back in your Spidey bean bag chair, and check it out. I’ll be posting other Thirdeye products later on. Enjoy!

The best of all the Third Eye blacklight posters! Did you notice that the colorist at the 3rd Eye (or Marvel Comics Group) colored Black Bolt’s mouth blue?? I remember buying this poster from the Superheroes World catalog from the 1970′s for a pittance! Oh, if only I’d have taken better care of my posters! AAAAGH!

    PS: Excellent blog!
